My Activity

Reviewed Chipotle Smashed Sweet Potatoes

"My mother is also not a fan of "sweet" sweet potato recipes and has insisted that no one can make sweet potatoes better than Mother Nature herself....UNTIL I served this recipe! It's absolutely delish! I took the advice of other reviewers and added extra chipotle and adobo sauce (also 50% more) and it was perfect! I also use the leftovers in a sort of quesadilla... with pecans and blue cheese. Makes a great quick lunch!

Reviewed Brussels Sprouts with Pecans and Cranberries

"Super simple, super quick--and this dish SCREAMS Christmas. The green of the brussel sprouts mixed with the red of the craisins is just gorgeous. Made this for Thanksgiving originally and as I placed it on the table, I knew I had to make it again for Christmas! Have done it with both walnuts and pecans now and I must admit, I prefer the sweetness of the pecans.

Reviewed Grits Pie

"This pie is incredible! The only thing I'd change about the recipe is putting a disclaimer on it to be sure to bake 2 pies--one is just not enough! If you like Custard Pie, you'll love this. The grits just add a texture that makes it wonderful. My family is already requesting I make another one (and I just made one yesterday!).

About Me

Mother and son duo.  He became addicted to the Food Network after watching a show on how to prepare and eat lobster by Alton Brown.  Now, he does about 50% of the cooking in the house and we both love to experiment with new recipes....
