Reviewed Chicken Marsala

Mar 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was an awesome meal. Made some changes as others did - onions and garlic in the sauce before the mushrooms. Yet, it wasn't easy to keep the chicken hot while the sauce cooked - hence, the chicken was cold. Nonetheless, this was an awesome meal. Cooked it with risotto and asparagus. One of the first times I've cooked a Robert Irvine meal "

What a great spin on asparagus. Been trying to find a different way to cook one of my favorite vegetables. My entire family enjoyed the recipe as provided."

I've never been a baked ziti fan, and when I saw the Neelys make it on the show, I just had to try it. I used the exact ingredients, and it was spectacular. However, it is just me and my wife - so leftovers will be around for awhile, it make a lot. Recommend cutting down the ingredients for smaller portions if you are a small family."

Paula - thanks for a great recipe. I've needed something different from chicken and hamburger. My wife normally snubs her nose at pork, but she enjoyed this one. Only difference that I did was used olive oil vice vegetable oil, and added a little orange liquer and flour to the to the sauce to make it more of a rue. Excellent results. ""

Absolutely wonderful recipe. The marinade was out of this world, would be great with chicken - gonna have to do that next. I used agave instead of honey, which gave it a little more sweetness. The skirt steak was a little tough, but that is to be expected. Cooked it on the grill and sliced on the bias - great flavor. Used an anaheim instead of"

Absolutely magnificent meal. I used angel hair pasta instead of the rice pilaf. In the noodles, I put some marsala wine and chicken broth - wow, what a difference. Also, I crusted the chicken in planko - that extra crunch was huge! Great meal, once again, Rachel."

Superb meal once again, Rachel Ray. I was very impressed with this meal and my family loved it. I also added some Sherry and cheese to the sauce. Wow - great flavor! A definite keeper!"

A good light salad, but not what I was expecting. I was looking for a stand alone salad, which this doesn't really fit the mold. My daughter didn't like the dressing; however, my wife liked it a lot. Just seemed to need something else. Will probably experiment to find the right touch and add it too a meal.

Exceptional! My wife and daughter both raved about the flavor and asked me to keep this recipe on file. I followed everything - little difficult in original browning phase because of the toothpicks; however, that was quickly overcome. Served this with rice pilaf.

What an excellent and easy sandwich that feeds quite a few. I made a couple of changes - used ciabatta bread and added tomatoes and onion to the mix. Wow - everyone loved it - will definitely do it again!
