Reviewed Baked Creamed Corn With Red Bell Peppers and Jalapenos

Aug 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was fabulous, but yes, a little watery. If you saw her make it on the show you would see it had that same consistency when she made it. So, lower the amount of liquids and/or butter and all will be well.

But I must say it's tiring reading reviews from people who are complaining about a recipe, that they didn't even follow...

This was absolutely wonderful! Those who say they can't taste the cheese probably just used a colby or very mild cheese. If you used these cheeses you would get the kick. I didn't have Gruyere, but I did have Jarlsburg (close enough), and I did use a sharp cheddar. The only thing I'm curious about is how do I keep it creamy after it's refriger"

This was INCREDIBLE! I also skipped the avacado, mostly because I don't care for it, and this was just fabulous. Expensive, but fabulous, haha.

I also use this same recipe with shrimp. I follow the recipe completely, but istead of crab I use chopped up shrimp that I salt and pepper and lightly sautee in a very small amount of...

I MADE it and LOVED the taste. And I totally wish Food Network would ban those rating and commenting when they either changed the entire recipe completely, or haven't even made it yet. You people do the rest of us a dis-service, and obviously just have a need to be heard for some reason. And that goes for the positive comments as well as the neg"

Reviewed Shrimp and Chorizo Stew

This came out very good, although I think I should have used more chorizo for a little more spicy flavor. Next time I think I might add wine, instead of the water (which I did substitute with chicken broth). Maybe even add some celery and capers?? I think this si a very good base to add on. And I followed the recipe except I used chick broth i"

All I made was the pork. I make my own bbq sauces, one is a mustard sauce, the other is a traditional sweet and spicy red bbq sauce. So I cannot comment on Tylers sauce. But this pork was so tender and fell apart easily. I made 25 lbs for a party and thoought I would have to wake up at 4am to allow all of it to cook correctly and pull apart. "

WOW!! This was fabulous. This is the first time I've ever made a roast beef, mainly because I only eat burgers or filet mignon when it comes to red meat - never been a fan of red meat. However, my friends think I'm the magic chef, so I was asked to make roast beef for a double birthday party for over 50 people....YIKES! Well, I ended up at Cos"

Unbelieveable soup! But do yourself a favor and by the pre-skinned and chopped squash. Haha, that's the only drawback to this recipe. You could get carpal tunnel syndrome just trying to peel one of those babies. Other tan that, this is a fabulous soup. "

Jun 24, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I love this recipe. I had always used carrot in my sauce, but never celery, before this. Fantastic, and easy. As usual I added red pepper flakes for some heat. This is an excellent sauce that is perfect over pasta or for chicken parm, or any dish that you need a taomato sauce for. Thanks Giada."

Reviewed Sam's No.3 Kickin' Green Chili

Jan 15, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a great recipe. I lived in Colorado for about 8 years and had the luxury of enjoying true mexican food. The only things I would alter on this recipe is adding more jalapenos (I like it pretty hot) and maybe reduce the amount of the roux that's added to the chili. It was a little thick for my taste, but still very tasty.""

Like everyone else on here, I think this is a great starter recipe until you make the necessary variations, then it becomes fabulous. Definitely reduce the chicken stock by at least half.
