Reviewed Espresso Caramel Bars

Dec 8, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

After reading the reviews and watching the video, I became confused. Video says 12 graham crackers and heat caramel to 150 degrees, while the cookbook says 9 graham crackers and heat caramel to 140. After making these several times, here is what I do. 9 graham crackers with 1 stick of butter and heat caramel to 140 degrees. After pouring caram"

I make these all the time and freeze them. There is no difference between fresh and frozen. They are wonderful. I freeze the batch whole and then cut as many as I need. They're actually easier to cut frozen...you get a cleaner edge. I also have been weighing my ingredients. It makes for a more consistent outcome.""

I've tried many corn chowder recipes and this is by far the BEST! I love the cheddar and bacon flavors. This recipe makes 6 quarts so I add crab meat to 3 quarts and make crab & corn chowder. My family can't get enough of either one. Thank you Ina!""

This is The Best seared tuna I've ever had. 5 star restaurant quality. I've never marinated tuna before...and it made all the difference. The tuna was so flavorful and melt in your mouth. No need to dunk the tuna in soy sauce or any other sauce. This is the only way I'll sear tuna from now on. Thank you Anne. I Love your show. ""

Reviewed Tiramisu

May 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was the Best Tiramisu we've ever eaten. I followed the recipe exactly as written and put them into martini glasses and topped with chocolate curls. Found the hard lady fingers at our local Kroger in the Italian section and just dipped them into the espresso for 5 seconds. So quick and easy to put together, and you can do it ahead of time. "

These are delicious. I baked mine for 14 min. just until they started to brown around the edges. I didn't ice them...they're great without the icing, but I think I'll try them with the amoretto icing next time, as another reviewer did. This one is a keeper. Thank you!!"

Mar 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Wow! These are fantastic. After reading some of the reviews, I was worried about flat cookies, so, after I formed the cookies, I put the cookie sheet in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, then baked them. They puffed and cracked...didn't spread at all. I baked in a convection oven at 275 for 19 minutes. They are beautiful and delish! Thank you...

Mar 3, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These are the oatmeal cookies I've been searching for. Moist and chewey...absolutely delicious. The key is to take them out of the oven when they are still moist in the middle...almost looking underdone. When they cool, they will be moist and chewey. I left some in longer and they turned out crispy, so now I take them out when they look underdone....

This is the only way I'll ever do shrimp scampi again. So easy and delicious. I doubled the marinade to spoon over linguine but kept the butter topping the same. You cannot go wrong with this recipe.
