Pretty good recipe - I used less wine and a little extra sugar and butter per other reviewers, in addition to the lemon rind and juice - but I did find it very very sweet after all that. I cut it with Dijon mustard - added a little zesty flavor and its pretty tasty now!"

Dough is incredibly hard to work with - far too soft - I'm an experienced baker and this was tough to work with. Had to roll out in very very small batches, and cookies did not hold shape well when transferring to the cookie sheet. There are much better sugar cookies around.

I think there must be an error in the recipe - the dough was so wet and sticky I added another cup of flour, and then at least another half a cup once I started to roll it out. Then it became a very workable soft dough. I added extra grated ginger into the mix, and with the crystalized ginger and sugar on top, they were quite tasty.
