Excellent! I was confused with the recipe calling for the sugar to be divided, but after reading the other comments I decided that the 2 cups of sugar should be added all at once to the butter. Also, next time I make the cake I may try cutting the sugar to 1 1/2 cups as it was quite sweet, but still delicious."

I gave this recipe three stars as my family found the results too sweet. May make it again but will most likely eliminate the brown sugar or reduce the amount to 1 TBS. Smelled wonderful while simmering."

I have rated this 3 stars as the heat from the seasonings was more than we could tolerate, really hot.. Other than this problem, it was excellent. I too was disappointed in the results and do not feel they were worth the time and extra work. I agree with "elviequin" that the milk mixture and frosting made way to much and the cupcakes were dense and coarse. I will make one more time and will reduce both mixtures in half and carefully fold in the flour and milk. Also, I ended up with 20 cup"
