"I am making this dish for the second time. I used half good Parmesan cheese and half Cheddar, last time it was wonderful, but a little greasy. I also added chopped ham to make it a main dish. My picky-eater husband even liked it! Hoping for similar results this time....

"oh yeah, one other thing: when salting, use your good judgement, don't try to copy what chef anne does on the show. the first time i made ths i added "handfuls" of salt like she does, and it was way too salty. it seems a few others had the same problem. maybe chef anne has really tiny hands :)

"this has become my go-to spaghetti sauce. i have a quick, down n dirty version i make with diced tomatoes instead of the paste, but if i'm really going for the gusto i follow this recipe very closely. i usually use a combination of pork & ground chuck for the meat, and add some fresh chopped basil at the end. even better the next day!
