Yes, this dish is bland when made according to the recipe (recipe on own gets 3-stars; it gets 4 stars with my modifications). Thanks to the other reviewers' suggestions, I added salt, pepper, and fresh lemon juice. Winner! This was so easy for me to throw together on a weeknight. Quite tasty! I added the lemons slices as a bed for the fish per another reviewer's suggestion. I forgot to do the egg wash step, but I didn't have a problem with the folds holding. I cooked it for 15 minutes but will reduce the cooking time on the next attempt. Thank you Ina!

Very tasty! I used vegetable stock instead of wine. I also used a combination of fresh stewed tomatoes and canned tomatoes.
