My Activity

Reviewed Homemade Butter

"This is such a great tasting butter, so clean and fresh. It reminds me of my own grandmother, sitting on the porch in her rocking chair with a small jar of fresh milk, shaking it until the butter formed. You could see how natural it was for her to be doing it, sort of absentmindedly shaking the jar while she talked. It was something she did often.""

Reviewed German Potato Salad

"I've tried German potato salad a few times, but didn't think it was that great. When I saw Anne making it, it inspired me to give it a try and I have to say this was the best! I'm so glad I tried it and I'll be making this one again and again. Thanks Anne and Food Network. ""

Reviewed Halibut with Brown Butter, Crushed Chickpeas with Olives and Roasted Cumin Carrots

"I've made these chickpeas again and again and every time I do it's just raves from all our friends. Soaking them overnight is the best way and they cook very quickly after that. A sprinkling of thyme goes well also, minus the rest, but it's always nice to vary things now and then. We'll be enjoying these for a long time to come."

Reviewed Pommes De Terre a la Boulangere: Potatoes a la Bakery

"This is a great way to serve potatoes. Easy to prepare and a homey, comforting dish that offers many ways to vary its flavors. Change the herb, add several, use a different broth, they're all good. "

Reviewed Fougasse

"This was a quick and delicious dough much like focaccia and the addition of olives was interesting, tasty and attractive. I used stuffed green olives because it was all I had and the red pimentos gave the fougasse a nice look. I'll be making this one again and next time I'll try the black olives."
