Reviewed Baked Barley
"This is stupid easy. I love it! Have made it several times and it turns out perfectly. A great base to lay a braised brisket and it's lovely juices over. A nice change from rice and mashed potatoes."
Reviewed Zucchini Pancakes
"Have made this several times, 'cause it's yummy. Always good, but accidentally increased to 1/2 cup of flour... best round i ever made, by far. ""
Reviewed Spicy Sticky Lamb Chops
"Tasty. Easy. All done ahead. My favorite combination. Served these with leftover mashed potatoes and Aarti's Massaged Kale Salad. Marinated the night before, so I just had to throw them in the oven and set the table. Oh, and open the wine, of course. One suggestion: the marinade cooks on the pan at the edges and it's a royal pain to clean ""
Reviewed Green Chicken Curry
"Made this for my husband's MBA study group a month ago. Everyone loved it. One of the attendees was a native of southern India. He said "this is exactly as we have it in India. This tastes so much of home." I think that is a testament to how well Aarti writes her recipes... that this American from Pennsylvania who has never been to India can ""
Reviewed Blackberry-Ginger Clafouti
"How have I never heard of Clafouti before?? They are just the right consistency and substance for breakfast and tea, not too sweet, and beautiful. Oh, and STUPID EASY. Aarti lends her usual perfect touch of seasoning and comforting warmth to this one. My hero! Mine turned out perfect and I can't wait to try it with plums and orange zest.""
Reviewed Massaged Kale Salad
"Made this for my mom, who is skeptical of any non-dessert course with honey in it. Rave reviews all around. Used apple and a few chopped raisins in lieu of mango, because I had it. Made it last time with mandarin oranges. Both were seriously good. Perhaps the best part was that we were able to eat the left overs the next day with lunch---stil""
Reviewed Kheema: Indian Ground Beef with Peas
"Made this on the fly for company last night when the rain was too heavy and the wind too, well, windy to allow us to troll the streets for food. Just great! And easy enough that I could make it for the first time while talking to my guests with a glass of wine in my hand. Used ground turkey, 'cause that's what I had. Tasty, satisfying, and so ""
Reviewed Beer, Ginger, and Garlic Braised Brisket
"Fabulous. Served it sliced over simple baked barley (search it out on this site). Looked great, tasted better. Fed 6 comfortably, including two greedy over-eaters. The gravy over the barley was spectacular. All raved.
