Reviewed Banana Pudding Recipe : Trisha Yearwood : Food Network

It's an easy, good recipe. Not the best pudding in the world, but the vanilla cookies add a good texture and the taste is solid. I didn't find it too sweet or salty at all, and it makes a lot. You can use any pan - I just could only do 2 layers of cookies/bananas.

Really tasty. A full meal in itself, and the boyfriend even really liked it (supposedly he "doesn't like radishes" and I "don't like celery"). However, all of the flavors went really well together, and he said he felt satisfied without some sort of starch accompaniament. Also I didn't have a zester, so didn't do the lime zest. The celery didn't...

The rice turned out perfectly in 30 min, and the beans smelled great and flavorful - I even added a dash of cinnamon to bring out the cumin flavor. With all of that, the dish was just ... bland. I don't really understand why with all of the great flavors that went into the recipe, but I don't think I'll be making this again...

Best rolls I've made for thanksgiving. Ever. Really easy to make. If you put them close to each other (about half an inch apart) before the final rise, they will rise to look like the photo shows and then be pull-apart rolls, similar to what you buy in a grocery store, but oh, so much better. I like putting them in the oven right before company...

I couldn't find frozen onions, so I used a 16oz frozen onions and peas together mix, bought frozen puff pastry, left out the cream for the dairy-free guest, and made it in one, 9x13 baking pan. Turned out fantastic. Everyone loved it, and we're now making it for our Christmas party."

We basically followed the recipe exactly with the canned tomotoes. Couldn't really taste the fish, mostly the sauce - which was actually a good thing since the salmon was overcooked and a bit chewy. Probably won't be trying again, but if I did, I would try using fresh tomatoes and put the oven at 375."

Kind of bland, which was very surprising to us given all of the ingredients, especially things like raw garlic and onions in the remoulade and coleslaw. I followed the directions fairly closely except for pan-frying the fish rather than deep-frying, and I pretty much had everything except the optional cilantro. Most of what we could taste (using l"

This was delicious. I used it as the vanilla pudding in a banana cream pie, and I'm surprised any of it actually made it into the pie.

I used the whole milk substitution suggested by crisstara318, and I used 2 tsps of homemade vanilla rather than the vanilla bean, and it still turned out to be amazing. The guy I shared it with...
