"Loved this recipe!! I made it for Easter Sunday, and everyone raved about it!! My mother-in-law (who is an excellent, experienced cook) said it was the best carrot cake she'd ever had! Definitely a keeper recipe!! Thanks!!"

Reviewed Spinach and Bacon Quiche

"This quiche is AWESOME!! I made this for my husband and me one night, and it was delicious and so easy. My husband loved it so much he ate up all the leftovers for breakfast the next few mornings! I decided to not add the chopped spinach since my husband and I aren't big spinach fans, and it still turned out great!! Thanks, Paula Deen!! I have lo"

Reviewed Not Your Mama's Green Bean Casserole

"This recipe came out really delicious! :)) Green beans were the perfect texture, and the creamy mushroom part was the perfect flavor and consistency! WAY way better than the canned recipe!! Reviewed Trail Mix with Honey-Oatmeal Clusters

"I made this trail mix as a Fathers Day gift. It turned out well, and dad really liked it. The only thing I had trouble with was the baked oats. I didn't think their flavor was very good. I'll probably make this recipe again, but just buy granola in place of the oats. Otherwise, the recipe was very good! :) "

About Me

When I first got married 4 years ago, I knew almost nothing about cooking.  I basically knew how to boil water, brown ground beef, and cook a few simple desserts.  I have come a long way since then, but I still have so much to learn.  I love cooking tasty dishes for my husband, family, and friends.  I so appreciate food network because they have so many good recipes.  I can search their site for just about any recipe I want to try and even set the level of difficulty. The chefs are so friendly and encouraging as well.  Thanks Food Network!

Favorite Foods

Mexican Foods:  enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, burritos, as long as their not too spicy or full of onions.

Spaghetti and Pizza- Emerils red sauce is AMAZING!!

Breads- almost any kind; I'm a huge fan!

Desserts- I have a major "sweet tooth," that I have to keep in check.  I love chocolate desserts especially.
