I agree with some reviewers that the recipe needs more sauce. Also, I omitted the veal and used only beef and sausage. I also added some minced garlic to the meat mixture. Fantastic!

Reviewed Arugula Salad with Olive Oil, Lemon, and Parmesan Cheese

This is my "go to" dish many nights for a really quick dinner. It's peppery, salty, tangy... Perfectly paired with a glass of white wine. I do, however, mix the evoo, fresh lemon, salt and pepper in a bowl and whisk before adding to the greens - seems to blend better and I can easily adjust the amounts if needed.

I've made this several times and it never disappoints! It's very rich, so smaller portions will suffice. Not a fan of pate - so I leave it out. But there's so much good flavor going on that it's not missed. Wonderful recipe for a dinner sure to impress.

Impressive little appetiser! I added a dash of truffle salt and minced garlic to the filet seasoning for added flavor.

Supurb texture and flavor. I use just a bit more espresso powder and really good quality chocolate. YUM!

Reviewed Chicken Fried Steak with White Gravy

Oct 3, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This was my first attempt at chicken fried steak. The gravy in this recipe is off the hook! I used less milk to make it a more hearty - less milky. The bacon and thyme are key :) My texan boyfriend loved it, and he has a long history with chicken fried steak!

Everytime I make this appetiser for gatherings, I'm asked for the recipe. Delicious and unique! Instead of jarred bacon bits, I use real bacon. Great recipe :)

This is a very tasty recipe. But the tuna mixture really does need to sit in the frig for 3 - 4 hours (or longer) for the flavors to marry. Lite and delicious!

Super crunchy batter - even the next day after refrigerating leftovers! Important that use follow Guy's suggestion of using Canola or Peanut oil (no veg oil like I did on the first batch - will taste oily). Great recipe :)
