Reviewed Low-Cal Fettuccine Alfredo

"This is surprising rich for a low cal dish. Made it pretty much according to the recipe with the following changes: 1/2 C cream & 1 1/2 C 1% milk; steamed broccoli & sauteed 3 cut up chicken tenders and added to the sauce.
I used fresh fettucine which only comes in a 9oz package so we had plenty of sauce. The sauce seemed thin to me, but it abs"

Reviewed Alton Brown's Buffalo Wings

"WOW!! What a great recipe. First time making wings at home and did not want fried wings. These were fabulous. My husband and our neighbot raved about them. Made 16 for the 3 of us - wecould have easily eaten 16 each. I used Tabasco Buffalo Sauce - it was very good, but could have been hotter. Might try adding some regular Tabasco or some habenero"

Reviewed Individual Peach Upside-Down Cake

"Unbelievably AWESOME!!!! Made a tiny change - slightly (and I mean slightly) less ginger - maybe 2 and 1/2 TBS instead of three. Otherwise, made it as written and cooked until the top was GB&D (golden brown and delicious for those who don't really watch Alton. Had with ice cream.
My favorite peach dish used to be cobbler - not anymore - this is t"

Reviewed Potted Pork Tenderloin with Sweet Onions and Apple

"Wow - what a disappointment! I expected to really like this based on ingredients and reviews. Didn't hate it, but won't make it again. It was wrong in so many ways. Let's start with preparation: onions browned almost immediately even though I had them on the lowest heat (gas range had to add apple juice to keep them from burning.
The flavor was""

Reviewed Grilled Pork Tenderloin

"Agree with other reviewers - more chipotle. I'd reduce the lime juice - it wasn't too limey, but it didn't need as much lime as it had; almost overpowered the flavor of the meat.
Marinated mine for about 8 hours which was plenty - I think longer would have made for too much lime flavor and might have made the meat mushy.
Reviewers have raved at"

About Me

Love to cook. Even when I commuted an hour and a half, each way, I always made a full dinner. Chopping, measuring, - puts me in the zone. I am happiest in the kitchen or eating.

Favorite Foods

My favorite food is roast chicken (roast turkey a close second). Beyond that....I eat a variety of foods. I was "off" fish for quite a while, but I have a great recipe for fish tacos using halibut, a lovely planked salmon recipe and our market often has fresh local trout so I'm working my way back to fish.

I don't have a dish I'm famous for - my friends seem to like everything I cook. My husband would probably say my chicken salad is the best on earth - and I do make great chile, gazpacho and, naturally, roast chicken.
