Reviewed Lentil Sausage Soup

"I tried this recipe after watching her make it on the "Tale of two soups" recipe. While making it, I was a little skeptical of how good it would taste. It was very brown and not so exciting looking, but I must say, this is one of the best soups I have ever had, ever. And I like soups. It makes a HUGE amount, so it is great for a large family, or a couple that likes lots of leftovers. The flavoring in the broth is just wonderful. We like it better with double the amount of kielbasa, which yields around 6 bites of kielbasa per bowl of soup instead of three, but that is just personal preference. Also one thing to note, use the biggest pot you own. I made it in a 9 qt. Le Creuset round dutch oven, which looked exactly what she was using, but my soup pot was filled to the brim. A larger pot would have been useful.
UPDATE:
I've made this soup numerous times now, and not only do I double the kielbasa, but I double the liquid. Ina's recipe is a bit more stew-like, and we like lots of broth.
