I have been making corn like this for years. I usually soak the ears in cold water for about 30 minutes before cooking. I also cook for only about 20 minutes. The silk slips right off. If you don't have asbestos fingers (from years of cooking) you can just hold the cob in a clean kitchen towel to husk and desilk. The flavor is delicious - not wate"

I don't know why this recipe is in the database twice, but it is excellent. Made it as an appetizer for Christmas Eve dinner and everyone loved it! Great way to cook it so that the shrimp is not waterlogged. Be sure not to overcook if your shrimp is smaller! Also, I used vegetable oil to let the shrimp flavor shine through. Try it - you'll like it"

I used Arnold Country White bread. Cutting off the crusts and wrapping in plastic wrap really helps with the finished product. I also served it with raspberry preserv"

I was looking for an interesting picadillo recipe and this one was very good! I don't EVER use cooking wine, so just added some Chardonnay. Also added some diced potatoes, because I saw that it many other recipes. The OF liked it, but then he eats everything I cook."

I wish I could also post a picture because this came out beautifully and tasted great. I did use a larger souffle dish (2 1/2 qt.), and therefore modified as follows: 1 additional Tbsp butter and flour; 1/2 cup more milk; 2 oz more cheese and 2 more egg whites.
Delicious and easy! Thanks Ina.""
