"I've been using this recipe for years, although I made a few changes - I use cream of mushroom, no egg, add frozen corn. Also, the topping tends to be a little thick, so I usually add a quarter cup of extra milk and the carrots are sometimes underdone, so I saute them before adding to the casserole. Every time I make this I get rave reviews. This is one of my family's favorite meals and its so easy to make, we always make enough for leftovers and it reheats so well! Definitely one of the best shortcut recipes around!"

I added garlic as suggested by others in the reviews and used cream of mushroom instead of chicken. A definite crowd pleaser - loved by my husband and my 3-year-old alike!"

"Flavor was very good, however, I thought the pancakes were a little dense for my taste. Subbed orange for the lemon and walnuts for pecans because they were the ingredients I had on hand. Will probably try something different next time."
