I've been using this recipe for years, although I made a few changes - I use cream of mushroom, no egg, add frozen corn. Also, the topping tends to be a little thick, so I usually add a quarter cup of extra milk and the carrots are sometimes underdone, so I saute them before adding to the casserole. Super easy and super delicious! I'm sure I'll keep coming back to this one...all the ingredients are items that I have on hand regularly and it takes no time at all. I added garlic as suggested by others in the reviews and used cream of mushroom instead of chicken. A definite crowd pleaser - loved by my husband and my 3-year-old alike!"

Flavor was very good, however, I thought the pancakes were a little dense for my taste. Subbed orange for the lemon and walnuts for pecans because they were the ingredients I had on hand. Will probably try something different next time."
