Reviewed green beans with cheese sauce

This came out a little clumpy. I added more milk to thin it out a little, but it didn't work.

Reviewed shrimp and chive ravioli with grape tomato sauce

May 15, 2014 on

This recipe was awful. When the ravioli was done, the dough was tough and the shrimp were still raw. It was a waste of time and ingredients. For anyone who makes it, cook the shrimp in a skillet, then puree it with all of the herbs. If you don't do it this way, the shrimp will become undone when you are done with the pasta. All in all, nice idea,...

Replied to peanut butter fudge

Yeah. I liked that it didn't need any milk. I thought it'd need heavy cream but it didn't. It was great.

Replied to Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe : Alton Brown : Food Network

Apr 21, 2014 on

Alton said that it wouldn't be the consistency of fudge. That it would be more like candy. For me, comparing it to real fudge, it tasted the same. The peanut butter fudge actually tasted like the delicious maple fudge that I had not too long ago.

This recipe is soooo good. I live in Colorado, at high altitude, and the recipe worked. Not that it required any baking, so it should've worked. I think that because peanut butter has oil, that's why it mixed with the butter so well. And when you add the powdered sugar, it makes dry looking pea pebble sized balls. The mixture looks too dry like it'll...

Reviewed shrimp scampi

Feb 28, 2014 on

Though this was a VERY tasty recipe, there was no sauce. Shrimp scampi is supposed to be swimming in butter, maybe wine, sauce. This only had a little butter. Also, there was too much garlic. I would cut in half. Also, IF this recipe were to have a sauce component, it is delicious, with or without the sauce, to serve it on rice. With a sauce, the...

Reviewed Chocolate Chocolate White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nov 16, 2013 on

These cookies were really good. However, about 3/4 of the way through putting the dry ingredients into the bowl, the dough started getting really dry and still. Even with a wooden spoon, it was hard to mix. Then, putting the white chocolate chips didn't help. That made it even harder. I didn't put in any chocolate chips, I only used white chocolate...

Reviewed Bruschetta with Gorgonzola Cheese and Honey

Nov 3, 2013 on

I thought the recipe was great, but I changed it a bit. When you put the bread in the oven for the first time, I only put it in for about 5 minutes. Even though it didn't turn golden brown, it did when after I put it i the second time. Also, after the bread toasted, I put on blue cheese instead, and I also put the honey on then instead of afterwards....

Reviewed Mocha Brownies

Oct 28, 2013 on

Just like everyone says, the center of the brownies are raw. For someone who makes this, I'd recommend to cut the icing recipe in half. There was WAY to much to even eat. After a spoonful of the icing, you felt sick because it was so rich. I would make this again, but I'd recommend to the pioneer woman to tweak it so that it is cookable and enjoyable...

Reviewed Iny's Prune Cake with Buttermilk Icing

Oct 28, 2013 on

I really liked this recipe. However, in the picture, you see a thin layer of shiny glaze. On my cake, you didn't. The icing just got absorbed by the cake. I am not complaining because either way, it was delicious. It is a great breakfast cake because of the sweetness and the moistness. If i were to make it again, I would add maybe 1 1/2 cups instead....

This is a really excellent recipe. It's easy, clean, pretty, and delicious. I love to make lemon, lime, or other flavors for the syrup. It's delicious. I recommend this dish to EVERYONE!!!!! It doesn't take a highly trained chef to make this dish. "

Reviewed Flat Apple Pie with Perfect Pie Crust

Aug 17, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This recipe was super easy!!!! Especially the caramel sauce. I can't wait to make it again. But, the crust was tricky. I didn't want to make two pies, so I just cut the recipe in half. The first time I made it, I added the whole egg thinking it'd be ok. It wasn't because the dough was to squishy. So, I had to throw it away and make a new dough. Wh"

This recipe was super easy!!!! Especially the caramel sauce. I can't wait to make it again. I found the crust easy to make. But my only thought on the crust is that when you pull it out of the fridge, let it sit out for about 5 minutes. Otherwise, it's hard to roll out. "
