Excellent recipe. Easy and delicious. I have made these exactly as the recipe lists and I have made these with three modifications. 1st, I used pecans because that's what I had on-hand. 2nd, I substituted 1/2 my butter w/coconut oil in baking. 3rd, I used 1/2 cup mashed, ripe banana for the figs. Both recipes were great! I live at 5,000 ft elevat"

Great recipe. Served it to all 6 of us, ages 9-80 and everyone enjoyed it. My 12 year old had 3 servings! I actually used canned clams because that's what we had on-hand. Just add them to the last 2 minutes of cooking. Otherwise, follow the recipe as it is written. :)"

This is a great recipe EXCEPT that it is too salty. Since I added no salt and my bacon was low sodium, I can only conclude that the chicken broth reduction was the source of salt. I will make the recipe again with home made salt-free stock. "

I gave this 4 stars only because you MUST view the video AND apply the info to your recipe when serving. I roasted my pork for 5 hrs, covered the entire time. Did not use liquid smoke, as they do at the restaurant. Came out super tender. I let it cool, shredded it, then heated it on a griddle w/the seasonings, per the video. WOW. It was really del"

Great cupcake, but I did not like the frosting. Make your own frosting with butter (not shortening and you will have a 5 star cupcake. The frosting in the recipe makes the cupcake pretty average. "

This is an excellent recipe, but lacks details in how to thicken the filling properly. Look at the video on how to make the pie filling, note how translucent the filling gets. You have to let your filling simmer, while you stir, until the filling is nearly clear. It's not enough to stir until the filling starts to boil and to thicken. Let it simm...

I used coconut oil and heated in my stoneware baking dish instead of using canola oil. This is a much healthier oil and imparts a wonderful aroma and delightful crispness on the outer edges of the cornbread. I live at high altitude and find most cornbread recipes to be very dry. This was nice and tender and not at all dry.

Very nice pumpkin muffin recipe. I did not have pastry flour, so I used 1 cup all purpose flour and 1 scant cup of whole wheat flour. Added 1/2 cup baking raisins and excluded the pumpkin seeds on top. The muffins were tender, moist and nicely seasoned. Kids and husband enjoy them and ask for them often!
