Reviewed Marble Mountain Chicken and Dumplins

"Very delicious! But too long to make. I made it with the greens. Don't know what I did wrong. Used 5 lbs. of leg quarters instead of a whole chicken. Didn't even get to make the Hoe Cake! Skipped the step to boil bones for 45 mins. 5 stars for taste, but 1 star for execution.

Reviewed Mole Chili

"I'm writing this before trying to make bcuz I had to comment on the reviews. Why does the 2nd page have the positive ones & the 1st page the negative? Is that a coincidence? Probably. Was the recipe revised during the gap btwn March & October or somewhere soon after. Sometimes substituting isn't good if you're not familiar w/chilies & using what you happened to have on hand may not be too good when trying a new recipe. Chilies may last a long time but not forever. Perhaps they were old as they can turn bitter therefore completely changing the taste of the chili. I make mole & adding it to a chili sounds intriguing but also scary. I'll try this recipe w/some trepidation & will let you know how it turns out.
