Reviewed Garlic and Cheese Popovers

"Very tasty, but mine did not rise as nice as the one's Giada made on tv. Mine were extremely moist inside, but still very very good. The supermarket/deli did not have anchovy paste so i had to make my own with a two ounce tin of whole anchovies. They were a hit. Will make them again.""

About Me

I am retired, caregiver for 86 yr old mother in Florida.  FUN?  What is fun?  I would have to say, cooking and cocktailing.  I was trained at a Country Club in Connecticut on the basics and banquet food preparation/serving/bartending.  I managed a restaurant and one cafe; tended bar in the NCO club in the now closed Loring AFB in Caribou, ME.  I did a great deal of BBQing while in the service at every location, in snow 2' deep to the sand bagged bunkers in Korea.  Cooking seems to be a relaxing out for me, and i so so much enjoy it.  Especially when folks ask for my recipes!!!

Favorite Foods

Fav's are standing rib roast, popovers, clams casino, oysters rockefeller (sp), bbq'd anything.  (Bobby Flay you are my hero there!!!)  My most famous dish is a dessert, a recipe handed down through generations.  Key Lime Pie.  AND No you don't need eggs in this one!!!!  My favorite restaurant, i hope you give it due bidding is Tropical Acres Restaurant in Dania Beach/Hollywood, Fla.  Been in business since 1947.
