Reviewed Apple Pie
"YUMMM!! This is a great recipe! Everyone enjoyed it, and the crust was excellent.Couldn't find Northern Spy Apples, so I used 3 Golden Delicious, and 2.5 Red Delicious, and it worked out very well. Took in out of the oven in 35minutes, the crust was slightly moist on the inner part, and the apples were 'al dente', not too firm and not too mushy.. Some people may not like it that way but for our group it was perfect!
I had a bit of the filling left over, added some water and put it in the microwave for a few minutes...homemade applesauce!
The pie was such a hit; i'm making it again for some friends we're having over this weekend, and probably for New Year's Eve as well!
