Reviewed Apple-Sausage Mac and Cheese
"I already reviewed this after serving but after completing the job of throwing out the entire dish and feeling the pain of wasting so much expensive cheese, I have to change to one star and let you know that even leftover, this dish is a cheesy pile of glop that you should not waste your time money and effort on. Come on FNM!!""
Reviewed Apple-Sausage Mac and Cheese
"To me this was just weird. Sweet with cheesy sauce didnt work for us and it seemed like way too much cheese. I even used less cider replacing half with stock and used reduced fat cheese. Also subbed lowfat yogurt for the sour cream and it was still overly rich and sweet. A less sweet sausage may be better but I wont make again. The flavors just di""

Reviewed Baked French Toast Casserole with Maple Syrup
"I made this last minute so used regular whole wheat bread and sprinkled walnuts on only half. Really good but soooo filling. Fruit salad necessary to counter the calories. Also wish I had paid attention to previous suggestions to put a pan beneath. We had a smoky Easter morn!! Everyone enjoyed it. "
Reviewed Nick and Toni's Penne Alla Vecchia Bettola
"Looking for comfort food with a little sophistication? This dish is so good. My hands smell like fresh oregano as I type. The second time I made this I began with sauteed cubed pancetta then set aside and just cut back a little on olive oil and salt and used light cream. At the very end I added the cubed pancetta and a cup of baby sweet peas. It was so good! Either way it's a WINNER. Restaurant quality at home."
Reviewed Chicken and Egg Soup with Pastina
"I am giving this 4 stars because it is very tasty and so different from any other chicken soup I have made even though it got mixed reviews from my family. The lemon and dill went so well with the spinach and chicken. It is very lemony so my 12 year old wasn't crazy about it but my husband and 16 yr old thought it was really good. I dont love dill but because I wanted to be true to the recipe first time around I added a tsp of dried and I am glad I did. It worked really well. I think the fat content is so high because the recipe calls for cooking the chicken in the broth and not skimming any fat. I used store rotisserie so skipped that step. "
