Reviewed Slow Cooker Tortilla Soup

So many flavors. So little taste. No matter what I added, it was still watery. PS I used NO water, just chicken broth. I just dont think the crock pot lends itself to melding all these ingredients. They really need some pre cooking to soften and bring out the natural flavors and sugars.

Wow good. If you want to try a variation, reduce 3 TBSPNS balsamic vinegar with 3 TBSPNS maple syrup to a syrupy consistancy (about 3 minutes) and drizzle over. You can reduce the salt and it is so good. And it's a weight watchers recipe. Either way, who knew sprouts could be so addictive....

Great, fresh tasting and versatile. First time I used veggies from a leftover crudite plate and grilled chicken, second time I topped with shrimp. The flavors are summery and light and worked well both times. Who knows, next time I may just make as written. "

Really tasty and great if you need to cook for someone else. Makes two family sized loaves.
We prefer a different topping than ketchup. This is so good and just a little more dressed up:
3/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
6 teaspoons packed light brown sugar
Hot sauce to taste (optional)

I already reviewed this after serving but after completing the job of throwing out the entire dish and feeling the pain of wasting so much expensive cheese, I have to change to one star and let you know that even leftover, this dish is a cheesy pile of glop that you should not waste your time money and effort on. Come on FNM!!""

To me this was just weird. Sweet with cheesy sauce didnt work for us and it seemed like way too much cheese. I even used less cider replacing half with stock and used reduced fat cheese. Also subbed lowfat yogurt for the sour cream and it was still overly rich and sweet. A less sweet sausage may be better but I wont make again. The flavors just d...

I made this last minute so used regular whole wheat bread and sprinkled walnuts on only half. Really good but soooo filling. Fruit salad necessary to counter the calories. Also wish I had paid attention to previous suggestions to put a pan beneath. We had a smoky Easter morn!! Everyone enjoyed it. "

Looking for comfort food with a little sophistication? This dish is so good. My hands smell like fresh oregano as I type. The second time I made this I began with sauteed cubed pancetta then set aside and just cut back a little on olive oil and salt and used light cream. At the very end I added the cubed pancetta and a cup of baby sweet peas. It...

I am giving this 4 stars because it is very tasty and so different from any other chicken soup I have made even though it got mixed reviews from my family. The lemon and dill went so well with the spinach and chicken. It is very lemony so my 12 year old wasn't crazy about it but my husband and 16 yr old thought it was really good. I dont love dill...
