Reviewed Simple Homemade Pancakes

Dec 1, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

This is a great recipe. My son, who is very picky when it comes to pancakes, totally loved them and so did I. He likes really big pancakes, so the recipe made almost 4 very large 1/2 cup pancakes. I didn't have buttermilk so I just used 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and added enough nonfat milk to make a cup. This substitution worked just fine.

This is amazing!!! I used a full can of black beans and added red pepper flakes. I think the tartness is just right. Thank you Melissa."

I love this salad. I used all of the ingredients called for in the recipe but just didn't use as much butter or oil. I used about 2 T of butter instead of 3/4 cup and used 1/4 cup of roasted sesame oil and 1/4 cup of canola oil. It has a great Asia flair to it. "

Excellent!!! This is a wonderfully fresh and light salad. I plan to make it for a 4th of July barbeque but wanted to try it out first. There is no question that everyone would love it. Thank you Ina. Wonderful as usual..."

This was amazingly good. I am not typically a fan of "smoky" flavors, but this was really good. I ended up using beef chorizo by accident because I picked it up instead of the pork. Turned out it was really good. Next time I'll buy what I intended which is the pork and see if there is a difference. I think the Manchego cheese (which I never ...

This was excellent! I happened to have all of the ingredients on hand so I made it exactly as the recipe called for. It was really good. I was thinking that I would add some almonds and dried cranberries the next time. I cooked at 300 and set the timer for 30 minutes. I forgot to stir it until the timer went off but ended up cooking an addit...

Reviewed Penne with Shrimp and Herbed Cream Sauce

Sep 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent. This is a regular in my house. Sometimes I make it without the shrimp. I also substitute the clam juice with chicken broth if I don't have any of the clam juice on hand. Also, I like the sauce thicker so I mash some flour in a couple of pats of butter and add it to the sauce and it is amazing. ""

These cookies were amazing! I made them exactly as the recipe indicated and they were very chewy inside and just plain wonderful. I think the key is ensuring the dough stays cold.
