I made this over the weekend and it was fabulous. I didn't make the caramel sauce. I just thought it may have been a little too sweet for our tastes. The anglaise is amazing! I made the bread 2 days ahead of time and I toasted the bread in the oven longer than 20 minutes. That just didn't seem like enough. Probably closer to 35 minutes being ...
