"Ten minutes before it's done cooking, I add 1/2 to 1 cup of diced celery. It adds a lot of flavor and a little crunch. For those complaining about it being too watery, remember - the water content of tomato sauce varies by brand, and a canned sauce will almost always be more watery. Just cook it a bit longer.
