Reviewed Paula's Perfect Pie Crust
"I made this today and it was really good. Next time though I will double the salt, it was just a tab bit bland for me. But this does produce a nice crust. Was very happy with it... Only thing, watch the ice water, I got mine a bit wet, but I fixed that with a little more flour... my error, not recipe... "
Reviewed Lemon Meringue Pie
"I made this pie today and it was not good. The filling was awful, and I agree with others on using the sweetened condensed milk. I made the meringue FABULOUS, made Pauls perfect pie crust, FABULOUS.. but the filling did not set right, and the taste was lacking taste..
I love you Paula, and will continue to use your recipes, just not this one....."
Reviewed Raisin Pecan Oatmeal Cookies
"This is by far the BEST Oatmeal Raisin Cookie ever! I have the last batch in the oven now, and the house smells so good... I used a regular cookie scoop, so I got about 57 cookies. I feel there is NO need to modify or tweek this recipe in any manner, it is perfect! Another winner from Ina... Happy Thanksgiving!
Reviewed Lentil Vegetable Soup
"I was surprised at the taste of this soup. I was not a fan. It was very edible, but something was just off for me, can not figure out what it is, but will try this again (half the recipe) and see what it is that I dont like, or feel is lacking for my taste buds. Not everyone will like ALL recipes... but INA, you're still a CHAMP!
Reviewed Dijon Tarragon Chicken Breasts
"4 stars because I am NOT a fan of boiled or poached meats like this. So I flatten out the breasts, salt and pepper and dredge in flour and cook until brown. Then when making the roux, I always DOUBLE the amount of the flour and the butter (oil etc)to make extra. Before I add the liquid, I take out about half and set aside, that way I can thicken if I need to! If I dont, then throw it away or refrig for later use. I did add some shitaike (sp) mushrooms and some red diced onion. When the sauce was made, I poured it over the cooked chicken and baked 375 for 30 min. Was really good.
Reviewed Chicken Salad Sandwiches
"I have made this salad as per recipe several times, and yes, adding salt and pepper to taste is a given in any recipe. This is by far the easiest most delicious chicken salad. My mother in law was hosting a ladies tea and needed some small sandwiches. So I made this recipe, added sliced green grapes, course chopped toasted walnuts on a honey berry wheat bread. WEll, she was the toast of the town! Not one left over... All you need is a little imagination, and you can revamp ANY recipe to fit your needs and taste buds... I love INA!!!
Reviewed Prosciutto Wrapped Rosemary Chicken Thighs
"PERFECT RECIPE...
I am a seasoned cook, and sometimes a recipe needs a little something to bring it to jump on your tastebuds, NOT THIS ONE, it is perfect just the way it is... I made a double batch and took some to my neighbors and inlaws. RAVE reviews, they want to know when I will make it again. Funny thing is, I DISLIKE DARK MEAT. I only use dark meat in soups, stews, casseroles etc, but I LOVED this! A keeper for sure!
Reviewed Cold Spaghetti with Spicy Raw Sauce
"This is a great recipe, but I felt it needed a little more ZING than it had, so I added balsamic vinegar to it, WOW, made all the difference in the world!
