Reviewed Almond and Lemon Biscotti Dipped in White Chocolate

Jan 25, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These biscotti came out great! They are more crisp than hard, which is nice, but I think they dried out a lot more even after I took them out of the oven, so definitely watch out for that.

The dough started off very dry, as some other reviewers posted, but don't be silly and just throw a crumbly mess into the oven like one person...

That was super delicious! If your favorite chocolate is anything above 72% then this is the brownie for you! I did cut back to 6 oz of butter and put in a touch of milk to make up for lost moisture, but it was great. not too buttery at all- probably would've been fine with all of the butter. Reviewed Luscious Lemon Squares

the filling gets 5 stars though (the crust gets 1). but i forgot to say, i always use whole wheat and raw sugar- but this is one recipe i will use white for just because of the color- especially when making for guests or someone else. they came out a tan yellow instead of a pretty pale color. don't know why i didn't think about that beforehand. i do not recommend the crust in this recipe- it is way too buttery and ruins the yummy filling. i would use the filling again but i made these for someone else and i am afraid to give these lemon squares to them because i am not sure i can handle the embarrassment. you can actually smell the butter. i am a butter person, i've always eaten lots of"
