My Activity

Reviewed Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy

"Very, very good recipe, and it's one of my go-to's. I didn't add the cognac and made up for that by adding extra beef broth. A very good recipe!!!!"

Reviewed Upside-Down Apple Skillet Pie

"This pie comes out fantastic ALL the time. My husband just absolutely adores it. The only difference is that I use two Pillsbury pie crusts on top of it (we like the extra crust) and I add (chop) another apple to the mix. GREAT RECIPE!!"

Reviewed Beef and Cheese Manicotti

"This recipe is a REAL KEEPER (along with Paula Deen's pumpkin trifle!) The only thing I did different was use 1/2 of the ground beef and added 1/2 of italian sausage. I also put some baby bella mushrooms on top while it was baking. This is a 10-star recipe!"

Reviewed Beatty's Chocolate Cake

"This is one of the best cakes I've EVER put in my mouth. The cake itself was so moist - the icing was light as a feather - AND it was all very easy to make. The only thing I did different was butter and flour the cake pans instead of use parchment paper, and the cakes turned out onto plate GREAT, with not one crumb left in the pan. I was never a real fan of chocolate cake period until I made this recipe, and I think wait to make it again. BTW, my hubby's not a big fan of chocolate cake either, but when he tasted this, he thought he died and went to Heaven. Thanks for another great recipe, Ina!!"

Reviewed Braised Beef Brisket with Onions, Mushrooms, and Balsamic

"I made this last night. All I can tell you is that it tasted like a piece of leather soaked in vinegar ... and this after all the time it took to make it and all the money to buy the ingredients. My husband will eat most things and enjoy them, although he hates brocoli. He summed it up the best, saying "I'd rather eat a plate full of brocoli than this. Don't EVER make this again, please!" "
