OH, also, it is important if you make it ahead to not put panko, french fried onions etc. on top until right before baking, otherwise they will get mushy!

Best. Green Bean Casserole. EVER! First of all, I must confess that I abhor the Campbell's Green Bean casserole made with cream of mushroom soup. I find it, quite frankly, disgusting! But everyone else loves it, so what to do? The recipe is perfection and will be my go-to for Thanksgiving forever! I made it a day ahead (with 6 pieces of bacon),...

OH! And the tip to soak the bird in a sink full of water for 15 minutes is critical! The turkey was not salty and neither were the drippings. I saw the Facebook post "reminding" us to not skip that step made me laugh because it IS critical!

My turkey, using this brine was the best turkey ever! I used a fresh turkey, so brining was important as it wasn't injected with a saline solution like a Butterball or other commercial brand. I picked up a specially designated brining bag at Bed Bath and Beyond for $5 and it worked beautifully and was easier to keep in the refrigerator in comparison...

I will never, ever make another recipe again- this is PERFECTION! I don't like chunks of onion in my gravy so I ran it through the blender and made it the day before (I had homemade chicken broth on hand). On Thanksgiving I just reheated it and mixed in the turkey drippings prior to serving. Don't skip the cognac! It is critical to the richness....

5 stars for sure!! I was looking for something to use up the corn on the cob that I had picked up for .20 cents each and didn't feel like making a corn salad or a "traditional" corn chowder (I am not a big fan of diced potatoes- a staple in corn chowder). I used all "leftover" ingredients that I had on hand including tomatoes from my garden whic"

This recipe is SO GOOD and SO EASY! I had extra lemon-yogurt topping and have found lots of uses for it- I've mixed it with cottage cheese and chopped almonds for a quick high protein breakfast and I have used it for a dip for ANY kind of fresh fruit... even my super picky 7 year old loves it!"

I make Food Network recipes all the time but rarely take the time to post a review. These cookies are AMAZING! Yes they are quite a bit of work, especially if you do the chocolate dipping and crushed peppermint sticks but they are worth it! The presentation of the finished cookie is beautiful and I know that these will become a Christmas tradition...
