I was looking for a recipe for salmon cakes using cooked salmon. These little cakes were WONDERFUL. You can leave them in the fridge for a few hours and just cook them off when you want them. I only made the hash. I served it with cajun catfish. I made sure my pan was on medium heat so the middle of the cakes had a chance to cook through. I usually just serve rice with my catfish. This was a nice change.

I was looking for a wow desert for my husband's Christmas party. I tested it yesterday. I followed the recipe exactly. All I can say is OMG. It looks more beautiful than any cheesecake in any fancy restaurant desert case. It tastes better too. It may be the best desert I have ever eaten. If I could give this recipe 10 stars I would.

I chopped my own onions for this recipe. But other than that I followed the directions exactly. I made the tarts early in the day and just put them in the oven before my friends came over. They were great and they went very quickly.
