My Activity

Reviewed Pot Roast Carbonnade

"So,so, so good. I made this last night for the first time and I'm still thinking about it. We just used a regular Budweiser and it was delicious. So with buying the meat whole and cuttting it up yourself. Don't skimp on the time for carmelizing the onions this is what gives it it that slightly sweet rich flavor. The prunes add flavor as well"

Reviewed Pignoli Cookies

"Not sure how to rate these. They are a bit of a pain to make, and a little pricey, but hey it's Christmas. They are very chewy and after a day in the tin they were even softer. I will try it again and maybe use a little less honey and more sugar. I didn't have a pastry bag and used a Ziploc bag, which worked but it would have been easier with "

"The only changes I made was that I used dark corn syrup and omitted the bourbon. The pie was delicious and everyone commented on how delicious it was. I tried the recipe because it called for honey and I have an amazing bee keeper locally and I'm always looking for recipes to use heir honey. I didn't put in he entire amount of pecans because I "

Reviewed 1770 House Meatloaf

"Excellent recipe. Not groundbreaking, but very tasty. I made half the recipe. I was able to cut almost all ingredients in half and used only one egg. I think the salt measurement is wrong, it seems like a lot. I used 2 teaspns for half the recipe and it was perfect. I processed the Panko as instructed but I'm not convinced that regular dried"

Reviewed Vegetable Fritto Misto with Lemon Mayonnaise

"I also make calamari this way. I cannot get the garbanzo beans crunchy! I tried leaving them in longer but it didn't help. They were still great. Next time I might try the egg wash trick."

Reviewed Swordfish with Tomatoes and Capers

"We have made this many, many times and really love it. It works really well for a dinner party. I recommend slicing the fish and then placing it on the sauce. This stretches the fish, and not everyone can eat an entire steak. Another wonderful recipe from Ina. Don't skip the Pernod it really makes a difference."

Reviewed Raspberry Cheesecake

"Every holiday my family asks for this cheescake. It is perhaps the best cheescake recipe I've ever made. Well worth the effort.""
