My Activity

Reviewed Southern Fried Chicken

"SALTY!!!! GAG!! Even where I just used 1.5 tsp. per other reviews, it was too much. My four year old spit it out! I will say that the crust would have been delicious if not for the salt, and the chicken was very tender. Next time, I'll delete the "house seasoning" entirely and add a pinch of garlic powder to the flour mixture instead."

Reviewed Chicken and Herbed Dumplings

"This had great potential but WAY TOO SALTY!! I would cut way back on the salt and the thyme (overpowering); otherwise it would have been terrific. We threw it out. So disappointing!""

Reviewed Moroccan Carrot Salad with Parsley and Roasted Lemon

"I made this for my one year old son, so I actually cooked the carrots in the caramelized lemon oil. I also added honey to the lemon oil to take some of the bitterness out. Delicious! Made the dressing for myself but honestly preferred the carrots without the dressing.""

Reviewed Farfalle with Broccoli

"So good! I followed the recipe for the sauce exactly, but halved the pasta per other reviews. More pasta than that would have been too dry. Excellente!""

Reviewed Lemon and Blueberry Tea Cake

"The second time around with variations helped huge: reduced the blueberries to 1.5 cups, lightly tossed the blueberries in some flour, and used 1/4 cup of milk instead of 1/2 cup of half and half. The original version was very raw int he middle, no matter how much longer I cooked it. Great taste!"

Reviewed Tony's Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard Sauce

"Crunchy and delicious! I used oregano instead of cayenne since I was feeding my 3 year old and 1 year old this dish and it tasted great."

Reviewed Lemon and Blueberry Tea Cake

"Mine came out very raw in the middle, no matter how much longer I cooked it. I think 2.5 cups of blueberries is too much and the culprit--next time I will try for just 1 cup. The flavor was amazing though. Glad I tried this recipe before serving it to guests!
