Sorry Giada! I always love your recipes and this one sounded like another winner. It was so, so salty! The butter was too salty and so was the rub for the steak. I thought it sounded like a lot but I stuck with your exact measurements. Way too much salt.

If you used curry paste instead of the calabrian chili paste then it is a whole different taste. You need to use the calabrian chili paste. Very unusual taste.

I had to order the Calabrian Chile Paste online. I went to our specialty grocers and Italian Markets but no one had it or ever had heard of it. We live in Scottsdale, AZ. My husband and I loved it! These were so so good! Everyone at my office loved them. I used the angel food cake mix plus I used Trader Joe's jar of lemon curd. The frosting was delicious. Using the jar of lemon curd made it so easy. A great cupcake recipe!!

This was a great recipe! The cake was moist and delicious. The frosting creamy and smooth. The group I made them for couldn't stop raving. They thought they were better than cupcakes bought at specialty bakeries. I don't understand why people don't follow recipes. Why would you use less oil than the recipe calls for. I am sure these recipes...
