I MAKE THIS ALL THE TIME IN THE FALL WINTER. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SOUPS. I ALWAYS DOUBLE! USE 1/2 THE BEANS AND PUREE AND ADD THE OTHER HALF TO KEEP THE SOUP CHUNKIER. I HAVE EXPERIMENTED ALOT WITH THIS SOUP. I ADD CARROTS, ONIONS AND CELERY TO SOUP AND BROTH COOKING UNTIL DONE. I ALSO RESERVE HALF OF THE CARROTS, ONION AND CELERY AND SAUTE UN"

I only review when things are excellent. I did change it a bit, but not much. I did not use the carrots and celery, but added mushrooms and rosemary too. I browned on the stove top, then added the onions and mushrooms. Added the rest of the ingredients, simmered for probably another 10 minutes, put in all in the crock pot. I did not add the 1 c"
