Reviewed "Dance the Night Away" Energy Bars Recipe : Damaris Phillips : Food Network

Nov 26, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

These are excellent energy bars, healthy and very quick to make. I sometimes make my own food bars for cycling, so I had most of the ingredients on hand. I found my chia seeds before the flax seeds do I used them (also must be ground in food processor to be well digested). I'm sure they'd be as good or better with the flax seeds. I added some walnut...

Reviewed rao's famous lemon chicken (pollo al limone)

Apr 18, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This really is the perfect recipe. Aside from the fact that it's delicious, it's so simple to make and no need for mise en place. While the chicken is under the broiler, you can make the lemon sauce. Don't you always want to prep as you go? There are very few dishes that you can prepare as the recipe progresses without advance prep. This is one, and...

Ok. Add me to the 5 star reviewers of this recipe. Whenever someone says, as Jeff did, that hey had "an epiphany" when they created something always trust that it will be great! I was planning on using a country white as in the recipe but I found Russian rye with those litttle black charnushka seeds and couldn't resist. This is an excellent sandwi"

This really was an excellent choice for bold flavor! I made it exactly as in the recipe except that I used only thighs, to save some time and it was only for two. If you love the deliciousness and complexity of Moroccan food, this is for you. It was probably meant to be a tagine recipe. It was really spectacularly mouth watering, full of great fla"

Reviewed Caramelized Butternut Squash

Feb 15, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My family loves this recipe. It's very easy too. (couldn't be easier) Sometimes I get a peeled butternut squash and sometimes I get the cut up chunks. I find that you can add much less water and it cooks in less than half the time. I bring it to a boil then cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes, then uncover, raise the heat and let it reduce to "

Another five star review for this great recipe. Tuna and chick peas are one of the great combinations of flavors. Ina's tuna recipe is an excellent one. The cornichons and radish slices are a wonderful addition of brightness to the tuna and hummus. With such a great tuna recipe and a fresh baked, great quality sourdough bread, I just used a really"

Reviewed Strawberry Scones

Dec 11, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I gave this 4 stars because on the show, Ina added chopped walnuts and orange zest and everyone agreed it was better that way, so why leave it out of the printed recipe?!
Also for Ladydelei: It says "small-diced DRIED strawberries" in the ingredients list.
Otherwise, they are great with the nuts and orange zest."

I didn't find lamb steaks so I used a pound of boned out leg of lamb. I cut it into portions and

Jan 9, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Etouffe is so easy to make and this recipe is authentic and delicious! I also used cajun seasoning added to this recipe and took about 1/2 cup of tails and coated them with flour, fried them and used them as a 'garnish' (along with scallions and chopped celery leaves) like they do at the Acme Oyster House, which we LOVE. I got 1/2 lb of frozen ta...

Jan 8, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Most excellent! The broth was really exquisite and, if you've made these before, it's a simple recipe, especially if you char the peppers ahead of time. The broth was my favorite part! The whole family loved it. ""

Reviewed Spaghetti with Green Tomatoes Spaghetti con Pomodori Verdi

Oct 3, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is the very best way to use green tomatoes (no disrespect to the fried ones ;-) at the end of the summer. It's dead easy, deeelicious and you can freeze it to remember summer! Garlicky, cheesey, tangy, yummy! ""

Home Run! After making some of Rachel's dishes this week, I can't help but think she's been hanging out with Mario, and I mean that as the highest compliment! This was one of those simple dishes that far exceeds the sum of it's parts! My teenage daughter *hates* broccoli rabe and *loved* this soup. I can't say enough about it. Par-boiling the broc"

Couldn't be easier and delicious! I also added the zest of the orange and lime to the vinaigrette and lobster salad mixture. I used Brazilian lobster tails, which was easier than dealing with a whole lobster. Even my daughter, who will *never* eat lobster, really liked it! Very lively, tasty and refreshing. This recipe would also be great with any...
