Reviewed Cheese Tortellini with Prosciutto and Peas
"I made this for my family as a quick and easy dish. None of us like peas so I blanched some asparagus and put it in at the end of the dish. My husband thought the cheese tortellini was a little rich, so he suggested next time we should use chicken filled tortellini. Really delicious though!!!""
Reviewed Ribollita
"Made this last night for dinner. Was a soup night! Made chicken stock the day before so it added a nice flavor. Didn't use pancetta, used italian sausage hot and mild. Gave it a little kick! Also added a can of green beans, whole can of tomato paste and cooked come orzo in a separate pot but used the liquid from the soup to flavor it adn added it to my husbands soup. The Herbes de Provence gave a wonderful flavor. Served it with some great California sourdough bread! This recipe is so versatile! "
Reviewed Parmesan Broccoli
"I do this all of the time with broccoli and cauliflower. I never steam or blanch though, it comes out crunchy that way and it stands up as leftovers (if there are any the next day. I use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Delicious! (Giada also has a Roasted Cauliflower with Parmesan and Pancetta recipe that's sounds yummy!)"

Reviewed Beef and Black Bean Chili with Toasted Cumin Crema and Avocado Relish
"I made this on a cold night the other night with some corn muffins. It was so spicy we ended up eating more corn muffins than chili. The chipotle overpowered it so much! It started out great and smelled wonderful, used a tri tip and had the pasilla and ancho chili powders, used an Amstel Light beer and masa to thicken. Next time no chipotle.

Reviewed The Bag Lady's Favorite Chocolate Pound Cake
"Made this cake yesterday! It turned out really good! Used all butter though, not a big shortening person. I used two loaf pans instead of the bundt pan. I am going to frost it tonight with homemade chocolate frosting. My fiance and I shared a piece with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and Hershey's chocolate syrup. Next time I will add chocolate chips! Yum!
