Truthfully, I didn't think much of the scones at all for all the work and hard handling of the mix. I ended up using almost 3 cups of flour and still it was a cake like consistency. No way I was able to pour it out onto the counter and knead it. So, I ended up spreading the mix onto a cookie sheet and baking it that way. I didn't want to waste...

I think Chef Anne is an ingredible teacher. She makes everything look so easy to make and next door neighbor friendly. She appears to be one of those lucky people who seem to never meet a stranger. This sounds wonderful! I love your recipes, but am confused with this one. Which is the tempura portion of the recipe I'm suppose to chill? Is it the ingredients above or below the "tempura recipe follows"? Isn't it a coating and so wet? I've never made anything with tempura and so don't know what goes in it.
