"This is an awesome dish!! I made this for Thanksgiving. I also added one of Sandra Lee's tips and put the seasoned butter under the skin, on top of the skin and in the cavity. I cooked the turkey upside and 30 minutes before it was read turned it over to brown the top. I couldn't believe how delicious it smelled as I was carving. This makes a very tender turkey. I have never had such rave reviews for a turkey as this one. Definitely a keeper and this will be Thanskgiving turkey to recipe. Simply delicious.

"I made this as a pre-Thanksgiving test run to see how my husband and I liked it and it was delicious. I used 1 teaspoon of honey instead of 2 teaspoons of sugar but should have added at least 1 1/2. This would probably be good with a little brown sugar and maybe even some raisins too. I'll be making this to go with our Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks Foodnetwork!
