Reviewed cream of fresh tomato soup

Oct 3, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I am a soup girl and this one was fantastic. The flavors of tomato, a hint of onion, and garlic made it outstanding. Ina hit a home run with this one. The texture of having diced tomato and carrots elevated it from that baby food feel. The better the tomatoes the better the dish.

The flavors are amazing. This is the perfect comfort food. I have also tried this in a large baking dish and it worked great. I added potatoes and any other veggie I had on hand. It turned out great!!! Ina is absolutely one of my favorite foodnetwork stars. ""

Wow!! The flavors are really good. You really taste the Cuban influence in this dish. I know the mojo is a point of concern but for me we fried the plantains (put them in a paper bag until black and soft first) in butter and then added the mojo, it is a great accent.""
