My Activity

Reviewed Pat's Broccoli and Chicken Stir-Fry

"Excellent recipe. I followed the other reviews and made double the sauce. It was super tasty, and super easy to make. I will definitely be making it again. I slightly over cooked the broccoli by accident, but it still tasted delish. In fact, I think next time I might just skip the blanching stage altogether next time. Loved it!"

Reviewed Marble Mountain Chicken and Dumplins

"I read the reviews, but I still followed the recipe. Firstly, this is a seriously labor intensive recipe. Secondly, save yourself some time and buy a cut up chicken. Third, I thought it was way too thin, and I used less water than what the recipe called for, and it was still too thin for me. The dumplings were nice, but I always grew up with th"

Reviewed Chocolate Pudding

"liked it a lot. I feel the mix needs more sugar, so I did add 1/4 extra granulated sugar before cooking. I also used only 2 cups milk and 1 cup heavy cream, and never sieved it either, as it was perfectly creamy and smooth for my taste. Next time I make the mix I am going to add more powdered sugar to it, but other than that, the pudding recipe"

Reviewed Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix

"Easy as pie to make. Nice to have on hand in the cupboard for when you just want a big ole bowl of comfort! I agree that it does need more sugar, so I would add another 1/2 - 3/4 of powdered sugar, or add 1/4 cup granulated sugar during cooking. I will definitely be making this again. "

Reviewed Chocolate Gooey Butter Cookies

"Well, I had high hopes for these cookies. I used to love Gooey Butter Cake that we got in St. Louis. However, these are just missing something. I think they probably need more sugar, as the cream cheese is not sweetened, but they just don't taste anything like what I was expecting. I might try them again, but the recipe definitely needs adjust"

Reviewed Baked French Toast Casserole with Maple Syrup

"I didn't like the french bread in it. I made it again and used a sliced brioche loaf instead, and it turned out perfectly. It was super delicious. I would say to anyone who wants to try this, substitute brioche for the french bread."

Reviewed PB and J Pancakes

"I liked this recipe, but didn't quite get as much of a peanut butter taste as I wanted from them. I used raspberries instead of blackberries, only cause I am not a huge fan of blackberries. I think next time I make these I would use a little more sugar and a little more peanut butter in the recipe, other than that, I thought it was a very good i"

Reviewed The Ultimate Lasagna

"I think this is a fairly straight forward recipe. I read the reviews first before attempting it. Firstly, I cut it in half, wasn't willing to be left with loads of leftovers. Secondly, for ease of cooking and prep, I bought fresh lasagne sheets that don't need to be boiled. Thirdly, and I know most of you will be thinking what was the point th"

About Me

Busy mom of 2, moved to the UK from the USA 8 years ago, and am trying hard to get recipes that I love in the USA to work over here, using ingredients that I can source easily here.  It's difficult when you can't buy Jell-O!!  I love to cook for family and friends.

Favorite Foods

Cakes, muffins, cookies are my fav things to make.  I love anything by Rachael Ray too, as her recipes are amazing and easy.  Just started watching Paula Deen and Ina Garten.  I also love Guy Fieri and Alton Brown, whose recipe for French Onion Soup is the best in the world.
