This recipe is a MUST. I made this for Thanksgiving and it was demanded that I make it again for Christmas dinner. It was time consuming, but absolutely worth it.

Love, love, love this pie! It's very rich so you won't need more than a small slice. I made this for Thanksgiving dessert and served it warm. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. I didn't use the liquor (I'm only 19 and couldn't buy it) but it was still wonderful without.

Just finished making these and I like them a lot. I didn't, however, add any of the oil; I feared it would make them too greasy. The cake was slightly desne without it but still wonderful. Be warned though, without the oil the servings are cut by 25%.
