I have used this recipe so many times over the years, we have it with coleslaw and pickles as a sandwich The canned version tastes terrible in comparison and this doesn't take long to make. The only change I make is when I sometimes don't have a bell pepper on hand.

This is a good cookie for carb cutters like previous reviewers I didn't like splenda aftertaste so used 3/4 spenda and scant 1/4 sugar that solved that and be sure to mix it with spoon as directed I tried once with my stand mixer and the texture wasn't right. Good job Paula, again!!!

I have made these several times we are trying to cut carbs, the first time I made them per the recipe and like other reviewers didn't particularly like spenda aftertaste the 2nd time I used 3/4 spenda and 1/4 sugar these tasted much better however I used my stand mixer and the texture wasn't right, so this last time I used the spoon as instructed...

I don't give 5 stars lightly, but this recipe deserves it, I like to follow a new recipe to the letter then adjust as needed the next time if I think it is worthy to try a second time. This needs no adjusting it is wonderful as is, I made it for a friends birthday, I enjoy cooking but am not the best baker in the world but you would not know that...

This is such a good recipe, I did listen to previous reviewers cutting down on the thyme and I increased the sauce by 1/2 it was really moist and after letting it rest for a while it sliced perfectly.
