"I made this without an ice-cream maker, instead freezing it overnight. I cut the sugar just a bit and omitted the corn syrup. This was fantastic--maybe it was the farmer's market raspberries, I don't know, but everyone I served this to at my dinner party raved!""

"I made this as the main dish for a dinner party--I've been slowly going through Aarti's recipes and like most of them, this was a total keeper! It was super easy to make--I had my baby in her Ergo carrier, strapped against my belly, and was still able to make this very easily (just watch out for some of the sputtering when adding the wet masala!)"

Only note is that it took almost 3 times as long as it should have because my dutch oven is 5.5 quarts and seemed to steam the rice very slowly. I also used brown basmati rice and the brown rices always seem to take much longer to cook! Either way, this was gr"
"Awesome! I used greek yogurt instead of the creme fraiche (and meyer lemon) and it still turned out fabulous! Also, I omitted the butter and just used a bit of olive oil to sautee in the beginning. Will be saving this to make many more times in the future!"
