Okay, first of all, if you follow the recipe exactly it doesn't tell you to put in the baking soda or powder (it says the flour mixture so if you are a new baker, you may not realize to add this in...I first made them (not overly large but normal cookie size for the set time/temp and I thought they were a little crispy...I changed it to 350 for 11"

I read several other reviews before responding and felt I needed to clarify. No, this is not a very sweet scone, but most scones are meant to be more savory than sweet. Adding an orange glaze does sweeten it up quite a bit. Also, this scone came out much for "fluffy" than others I have tried. Definitely a keeper..."
