Reviewed Avocado Hummus with Crispy Pita Chips

Jun 23, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a great dish and good for guests too. I substituted some water for the EVOO at the end, and it was not a problem since the avocados already have lots of fat. I also added more arugula to make it more veggie heavy. If you use two avocados, it makes a ton!
I served it with carrot sticks, blanched haricot verts, and raw sugar snap peas,...

Reviewed Dark Chocolate Mousse

Very good, tastes rich, and no one will suspect it is tofu. Note that texture is more like pudding than mousse. Adding some instant expresso powder ups the richness/depth of the chocolate flavor without more calories. Don't fool yourself that this is actually healthy (plenty of calories and fat here), but it is healthier than regular mousse. You c"

I liked the flavors in here a lot. I used a blend of wild and other brown rice (Lundberg). I added 1/2 cup of white wine as the initial cooking liquid, then chicken broth after the wine was absorbed. Reviewed Turkey and White Bean Chili

Jun 7, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for my friends one weekend for a house party. They really loved it. Personally, I thought that the chili was a little bland or something, and I added some additional garlic to spice it up more. What really made it were the sides and toppings served with the dish - guacamole, light sour cream, shredded cheese, red onion, scallions, corn"
