"Beef short ribs is not a cut you get usually in the UK, so when I saw them for sale in Marylebone, London, I grabbed some and searched for a recipe. Hard to go past a recipe that 251 people have rated - and I had all the ingredients - so I tried this one. Put it in my slow cooker - but otherwise stuck to recipe. Was underwhelmed by the end product, a bit tough and odd oily taste, but was cooking a day early, so put it in the fridge, lifted the fat the next day and reheated - and out came a really nice, tender dish with wonderful rounded sauce. So 4 stars - but let it sit for a day."
