"I expected this to be good given all the 5-star reviews, but there was definitely something missing from this recipe. I could taste plenty of spice, but it lacked any depth or complexity. I would next time try boiling the rice separately in chicken broth and then folding everything together (it took forever to get the rice moist). I also added a little tomato paste and mesquite for flavoring, which seemed to help a bit."
