Reviewed Mushroom Risotto in Pressure Cooker

Mar 18, 2013 in null on Food.com

Wow! This was so good and so easy. This is a great base recipe. I browned some sausage then removed it from the cooker. Then sautéed some garlic, shallots, leeks and mushrooms. I added the sausage back and rice then added 3 cups of chicken stock and 1 cup of white wine. This was delicious. I will definitely make again."

Reviewed Smothered Pork Chops

Dec 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These pork chops were delicious! I made them exactly as the recipe was written and they came out perfect. The chops were juicy, not dry at all. I loved that there was extra sauce too. Served with a side of roasted potatoes and salad. Yumm! Will definitely make again.""

Reviewed Baked Tilapia With Herb Butter

Oct 10, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was delicious and so easy to make. This is definitely a 30 minute meal from start to table. I followed the recipe exactly as written. The fish was perfectly cooked and moist and all the veggies were perfect too. Not bland at all if you season it well before baking. Served with a side of jasmine rice.""

Reviewed Banana Bread With Chocolate Chips and Chocolate Glaze

Apr 16, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This banana bread was so delicious and moist. It tasted better the next day when it was super moist and the chips were a bit hardened. Very easy to make. I did not make the glaze as I thought it was not necessary. I would make the glaze if I was making it for dessert. I did add walnuts."

I also agree that this is "ok and something's missing." I don't cook Chinese food enough to know what would help this dish with flavor but it is bland. I was disappointed. I won't make again. Too bad because it sounded like a winner."

Reviewed Chocolate-Hazelnut Tart

Feb 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This tart was delicious. Smooth and creamy. I brought it to a superbowl party and everyone loved it. I did have trouble rolling out the dough. It kind of fell apart. I rolled out what I could then just pieced it together on the pan and that worked out fine. The filling couldn't be easier to make. You really can't mess this one up. Will definitely...

Reviewed Saffron Scallop Gratin

Delicious! Made this with the cauliflower side suggested in them magazine. It was fun to make and came out great. Very easy. If you like scallops, you'll like this dish. I also used panko instead of fresh breadcrumbs. They worked out great and were nice and crunchy. I will definitely make again.

Reviewed Chicken Parmesan Rollatini

Jan 20, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

A great weekday meal that you could also serve to guests. Very easy to prepare and you can change the type of cheese or add a different veggie in the roll up to whatever your taste is. I served it with a salad and side of parmesan grits. Will deifnitely make again.

Reviewed Bean-and-Beef Chili

Jan 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This chili was delicious. I loved that it was pieces of beef, not ground. The prep may have taken a bit longer due to cutting out fat from the mean then cutting it into small pieces, but it was worth it. It had a great consistency also. I didn't add the extra heat because I don't like my food to be too spicy. The chili as is has mild heat. I...

Reviewed Vegetable Tarte Tatin

Jan 11, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Although this tatin takes time to prepare, it's worth it. Very different side then what's usually on the Christmas dinner table. Family loved it. The flavors are excellent. I couldn't get the caramel to spread evenly but realize that it's not a problem, it just kind of does it on it's own once you put it in the oven. Will definitely make again.

Reviewed Fettuccine With Quick Ragu

Dec 21, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I am giving this 5 starts because I also made the ragu stuffed peppers 2 days later. I followed the recipe 100% and husband and kids all loved it. I used fresh whole wheat fettuccine too. I agree that you could switch the turkey to sausage, although I am not sure how good the sausage would taste in the stuffed peppers, it might be too greasy. It...

This is a great dinner to make if you want to impress friends and family. It's not difficult to prepare, just time consuming. Worth all the work. I followed the recipe except I added about 2 tsp of glace de veau to the stock. VERY GOOD! I will definitely make again.
