Reviewed Rigatoni with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Oct 17, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Tasty, yes. Need to make some modifications as my sauce was way too runny. Too much water came out of the mushrooms. maybe b/c I only used button. I think red wine might give it a heartier flavor and/or some balsamic.
Added turkey sausage which was yummy. Worth a repeat.

I wasn't sure at first if I liked it. I did have to add a little more salt but after marinating overnight I loved it. I brought some to share at a picnic and it was a hit, even with a one year old! One friend said it was the best ceviche she ever had!! I tend to like mine spicier but this was super fresh and delicious, I will add some hot sa"

Jul 27, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My absolute favorite way to make roasted cauliflower! I added some red peppers since I was short on tomatoes which tasted great too. I also forgot the lemon and parsley at the end and didn't realize it. It's yummy either way. I've made this several times and always love it. "

Very meh. Not terrible but nothing great! I used olive oil rather than butter and thyme instead of parsley. I wasn't loving the consistency of the potatoes either. It also took about 15-20 min longer to bake than recipe called for. "

Aug 23, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

YUMMO! I have always liked ceviche but didn't realize how simple it is to make. I used a jalapeno which worked great. We like it spicy and it didn't disappoint, or it would be easy enough to make it without the kick. You gotta try this one!"

Jun 3, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

5-bean chili is 5 star chili! My husband thinks we should enter into a chili contest. Just enough spicy kick without overpowering the flavors. Can't wait to eat another bowl today!"

Reviewed Whole Roasted Red Snapper with Orange, Rosemary and Kalamata Olives

Apr 1, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

YUM! This was easier to make than I expected. I ended up using filets instead of the whole fish. My husband said I should win an award for this dish! We both loved it. Next time I would cut down on the salt because the olives add enough salty flavor. It turned out so pretty I took a picture of it (something I never do) Company worthy for su...

Reviewed Sausage-Cauliflower Spaghetti

Sep 15, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

It was a hit with my husband and 2 year old daughter. I did add some mushrooms and a can of drained diced tomatoes. Also found that adding a full cup of water was too much, it didn't boil down nearly enough. It was a welcome change from traditional spaghetti. ""

Reviewed Couscous-Stuffed Peppers with Basil Sauce

Jul 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have always made the traditional stuffed peppers and received rave reviews, but this was a great change of pace. It was the perfect summer stuffed pepper! I added a little ground turkey, sauteed mushrooms and used craisins. The whole family loved it including my 2 year old!

May 1, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent...my hubby gave it an 11 on a 1-10 scale! May try to bake fish next time as it seemed fairly greasy pan frying it. I didn't think the cayenne pepper was too spicy, it gave it just enough to kick up the flavor. I used half instant potato and half panko crumbs. It was crunchy and perfect! Can't wait to make this one again!"

I'm so glad I tried this recipe! It helped to read several reviews to make the following tweaks. I don't like goat cheese so I subbed boursin cheese (yummy) It required closer to 8 min per side (I had extra thick chops) and I finished them off in a 325 oven for about 15 min. The sauce was the perfect flavor complement with the chops. I also topped...

Reviewed Christmas Cornish Game Hens

Dec 26, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent Christmas dinner! The hens were super moist and tasty and the veggies were great. I roasted them in separate pans since I don't have a roasting rack and didn't want the veggies to get soaked in the juices. I also added a little bit of olive oil, and fresh thyme leaves to the veggies. Superb! Can't wait to make this again.
